What is the difference between performance and retention marketing?
Performance marketing wins new customers through paid ads, for example on Meta, Google or TikTok. Retention marketing turns those buyers into repeat customers through channels you own: email, WhatsApp and SMS. We combine both and manage them against one number: your contribution margin.
Where is Minotaurus based and who do you work for?
Our office is in Cologne. Since 2017 we have worked for online shops and mid-sized companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We work remotely, and intro calls take place by video.
What does working with you cost?
Working with us starts from €1,500 net per month. The exact price depends on how many platforms and channels we manage; we clarify this in the intro call. Consulting and strategy can also be booked by the hour. Consulting and strategy from €180 net per hour. Setup and account takeover are included. You pay ad budget and tool costs directly to the providers.
How long am I committed?
The term is flexible: one month, then it renews by one month at a time. You can cancel at any time in text form, effective at the end of the current contract month.
How does the free campaign work?
We build a complete email campaign for your business free of charge, with or without an online shop. Beforehand, we agree a target together. If the campaign hits the target, we start working together (management from €1,500 net per month, flexible term). If it doesn't, you pay nothing. The campaign stays free either way.
Do you only work with online shops?
No. Online shops are one focus, but we work just as much for service providers, trades, manufacturing and events. What matters is that your goal can be measured in revenue, enquiries or applications.
Which tools do you work with?
In retention marketing we prefer Klaviyo for email and SMS, plus the WhatsApp Business Platform. In advertising we work on every platform that makes sense for your goal: Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Snapchat, Amazon and more. Measurement runs through server-side tracking. Everything runs in your own accounts.
